Social Networking: Privacy Becomes Public

I will be writing an analysis on social networks' shift from private to public. In this paper I will focus on how social networks were first developed for people to stay connected and interact with one another. However, as it has evolved and become increasingly popular it has transformed into a dangerous place where personal information has become too easily accessible. Some of the major issues I will focus on is how it has had a negative impact on the younger generations, the way in which social networking has impacted company recruitment and how the government has used it to follow our every move. I wish to analyze the ways in which social networks give a false impression of security while providing the public a looking glass into the private lives of individuals.
